We are often asked this question and we would like to give you the resources you need to make an informed choice.

Marble surfaces Marble is a limestone that often has colored veins. This type of stone is not heat resistant and is not guaranteed against scratches. Due to its porous properties, marble absorbs water poorly and grease and the surface must be treated regularly. However, the colors and patterns are exceptional and give your surface a very unique look. Marble is more fragile than granite and quartz. Rishab does not recommend for kitchen counters, but rather for bathrooms or fireplace mantels and shelves.

Granite countertops Granite is very trendy and will never go out of style. This natural stone surface is affordable and resists heat and scratches. Since it is a natural stone, it will contain unique veins and patterns. Quartz countertops Quartz is less resistant to heat because it is comprised of synthetic component that contains organic dyes and polyester resin.

Dekton counters

The Dekton is made of a very compact material and is made from quartz, glass and porcelain. This material is extremely resistant to heat, temperature change, abrasion, scratches and stains. A Dekton countertop is very easy to maintain, simple to clean and does not need a protective sealant.

Porcelain counters

Made with materials resistant to heat, moisture, scuffs, stains and wear, porcelain countertops are a premium product and stand out for their ultra-thin appearance with a very trendy look. It is for this reason that the surfaces are more uniform with regard to the patterns and colors. Quartz can react to UV rays, but does not require any specialized sealant maintenance unlike granite and marble. Due to the fact that quartz countertops are completely manufactured, the purchase cost is higher than granite. Maintenance For all types of surfaces, it is strongly recommended to maintain the surfaces using a mild soap and, above all, never use abrasive products. It is also strongly recommended to seal the marble and granite surfaces annually.
